Opunzia is good for being paired with meat and grilled vegetables. Moresca is recommended preferably on salads, such as the typical Sicilian one with oranges, and on raw fish. Its bitter and spicy notes make Cerasuola perfect to be paired with fish and grilled meat dishes and also with the typical Sicilian pane cunzato.

Favola Opunzia comes from Nocellara Etnea, that is typical of the area between Syracuse and Catania, and from Cerasuola, that, on the other hand, is typical of the western area of Sicily. Both of them have a medium-fuity aroma with a medium-high intensity of bitterness and spice.

Favola Cerasuola PGI stands out for its extraordinary amount of polyphenols, which are the antioxidants determining both the organolectic properties, for example bitter and spicy notes, and the nutritional facts typical of an excellent extra virgin olive oil.
